Charleston Council Repeals City Gun Ordinance

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Charleston City Council voted Monday night to repeal the city's 20-year-old gun ordinance.

Council members did this, in hopes that Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin would veto a law passed in the state Legislature taking away municipalities from regulating guns.

If the governor signs the bill into place, Charleston would not be able to control what government buildings guns are allowed in.
