Armed Man Holds up Gas Station in East Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A search is underway for a man who held up a gas station in the 1400 block of U.S. 60 late Tuesday night, Huntington Police say.

Officers say a man wearing a ski mask walked into the Exxon gas station just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.

They say the man pulled out a gun and demanded cash.

Just after that, employees at the Payless Shoe Store, directly next door, said the man tried to get inside their building. They had just closed, though, and the doors were locked.

The man took off on foot.

No arrests had been made as of late Tuesday.
