CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emotions ran high Tuesday at the Capitol as the state Senate took up a controversial late-term abortion ban proposal.
The bill does not allow any abortions after 20 weeks.
Many doctors have raised concerns because it does not include an exception for non-viable fetuses.
The group WV FREE protested the bill outside of Senate chambers. Its members say women and their doctors should be making these decisions -- not lawmakers.
