$20K of Cocaine Base Found During Bust in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The US Marshals Service CUFFED Task Force and Huntington Police executed a search warrant at a home in Huntington and made an unexpected bust.

The bust happened on West 9th Street Thursday afternoon.

The Marshals Service says they didn't find what they were looking for, but did find $20,000 worth of cocaine base, scales, a loaded semi automatic pistol and cash.

They also say they found a needle and a spoon that had been thrown out of a window.

Investigators on the scene told WSAZ.com some of the cocaine was in the process of being cooked into crack.

Investigators are not releasing the reason they were searching the home.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
